Suggested Hosting For WordPress

Our clients often ask us, "what is the best hosting company to use for WordPress?". To make things a little easier for you, we created recommendations to help you choose the best hosting plan for your WordPress site. Tip: Cheap shared hosting is not a good idea

Website load speed and a site that never crashes are essential to user experience and Google rankings. That's why choosing the right web hosting is critical. The first step is knowing the type of website you have.

  • Standard WordPress Websites are regular websites that feature services, products, blogs, or other information. They do not sell products online with a shopping cart, and they do not have special heavy features or heavy traffic.
  • WooCommerce is a cart plugin popularly used for most WordPress online store websites. This plugin includes many helpful features like inventory management, tax management, safe and secure payment options, shipping integrations, and order tracking. It requires more than a standard shared hosting plan.
  • High Traffic or Massive Websites are more robust and uniquely designed and developed to your company's specific needs. These are websites with a user experience that requires complex features and functionalities or a website that needs a dedicated server or a virtual private server (VPS) solution.

We have created a recommendation for each type of website to ease the stress of choosing the right hosting plan for your website.

Why Cheap Hosting Is Not Ideal

It's essential to not skimp on hosting by going with the easiest or cheapest hosting option. Cheap options usually mean your website is on a shared server with thousands of other websites, on older servers, and it indicates the company is not maintaining their servers.

For example, GoDaddy's shared servers will not give you the load speed that is required for today's customer expectations. The site will be slow to load, time out or crash due to running out of resources, and be extra vulnerable to hackers.

The same applies to thousands of other "economy" or low-budget shared hosting providers.

Where Is Your Email Hosted?

When choosing to migrate from one web host to another, you need to ensure you know where your email is hosted. Some hosting plans include free email accounts that are part of your hosting plan, so once you cancel your hosting, these email accounts will no longer exist.

It is important to know if your email is hosted as part of your hosting plan or if you pay separately for your email service at a host like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office 365.

If you are having trouble figuring out where your email is hosted please contact us so we can assist you.
