Why Cheap Hosting Is Not Ideal
It's essential to not skimp on hosting by going with the easiest or cheapest hosting option. Cheap options usually mean your website is on a shared server with thousands of other websites, on older servers, and it indicates the company is not maintaining their servers.
For example, GoDaddy's shared servers will not give you the load speed that is required for today's customer expectations. The site will be slow to load, time out or crash due to running out of resources, and be extra vulnerable to hackers.
The same applies to thousands of other "economy" or low-budget shared hosting providers.
Where Is Your Email Hosted?
When choosing to migrate from one web host to another, you need to ensure you know where your email is hosted. Some hosting plans include free email accounts that are part of your hosting plan, so once you cancel your hosting, these email accounts will no longer exist.
It is important to know if your email is hosted as part of your hosting plan or if you pay separately for your email service at a host like Google Workspace or Microsoft Office 365.
